Our qualified physiotherapy and exercise physiology team will take you through a short explanation of ‘extension related’ lower back pain and the variety of potential causes to help you relieve your pain! 'Extension related pain' simple means your pain is more often worsened by being upright, such as when you are standing or walking.
Throughout the class we then journey through a mix of supine, seated and standing exercises including a yoga flow and pilates core stability and strengthening. We also include physio tips to manage pain with standing and walking, as well as a guided relaxation.
This class is designed for mild to moderate lower back pain. It is not suitable in the presence of nerve impingement radiating into leg pain, paraesthesia or neurological compromise.
